It doesn’t matter if you’re religious or not, Easter is always a nice little break to get together with family and friends or just to have some time off work. I think for me, this is the first Easter that I spend with only my other half and not any of our relatives or close ones. So it got me thinking what should we do? We weren’t really in the mood to travel anywhere so we just decided to spend the time we had off for Easter at home. Initially we said that we won’t go crazy about food and making any traditional dishes from home, but then, as I started thinking about this more and more I kind of craved them. And so I decided that why should we only have these deliciousness only when mama cooks it, when – not to blow my own horn here (clearly blowing my own horn here!!) – my mama’s recipes and my cooking go pretty awesome together. Hallo! It’s been about four weeks since my trip to Vienna and it’s been so hard getting back into the full-time job and commute routine – hence the lack of posts. I miss Vienna so much and I cannot wait to go back again. I fell in love with it at first sight. It is such a beautiful, historic, romantic, wonderful, fairytale-like city – words do not do it justice!
I will show you more photos and tell you a bit more about my holiday soon (I hope!), but until then, I’ll leave you with some of the photos that I love the most from there. Clean, no edit, no retouch – just the beauty that I saw in the moment.

Hiya! I do apologise for being radio silent for the past couple of weeks – it’s just been a bit of a rough patch. Work is going great, but getting used to the commute is a bit of an effort. It has got a lot better now as I’ve put some new music in my playlist and I’ve started to bring my Kindle along on the train ride so the 25-30 mins I spend on the train just fly when I’m captivated in whatever I am reading. I have, for the past month and a bit read the first 3 books of a series called “Girl in the Box”, which you would love if you’re on the geek camp and you like all the Marvel and DC comics and other things of sorts. After finishing those three first books I have decided that I HAVE to read “Me Before You” as I’ve not had the chance to go to the cinema and watch the film – so until it comes out on Blu-ray, the book will have to do. I’m a big fan of reading the book and then watching the film, anyway. I do find the book quite touching, funny and quirky in places and in less than a week I’m halfway through – I almost did not get on my train because I was so captivated by it!

Hello my little chums! I hope everyone is feeling a-ok and have enjoyed the weekend! I know I have, after a trying to get into a routine after the May Bank Holiday last week. Also, it was the first week at my new job – if you follow me on Insta, Twitter or Facebook, you have probably seen my post about leaving my previous workplace. It is safe to say that it was a very stressful and tiring week, not because of the workload, but because I now have to commute and getting up at 6am will take a while to get used to!
As you might have noticed, I’ve been quiet lately – partly because of my new job but also because I’ve had a bit of a writer’s block. Most of my ideas were either really emotional or just not there at all! So I decided to just wait and see when I’ll feel like posting again. And here I am today, thinking I might share with you a little haul. Because everyone needs to go shopping after they’ve started a new job, don’t they? Of course they do, so here’s what I got to help make the transition easier:

So here goes… my first ever fashion post! I don’t really think of myself as a fashionista but when my lovely friend, Diana – who has a fashion blog herself and is more experienced in this sort of thing than I am – told me one day that she loved my outfit and wanted to photograph it, I said ‘Why not?’. This was something I haven’t really done before and it was an opportunity to get out of my comfort zone. I have to say I really enjoyed it and Diana was so nice and such a good photographer that I didn’t really feel nervous or uncomfortable at all! So watch this space… maybe there’ll be more posts like this one in the future.

Bonjour, mes amis!
It’s been a while since my last blog post and I have to say I’ve missed writing – must take that as a good sign! I’ve been through a whirlwind of feelings, with a lot of stress but also excitement and happiness.
We’ve just had an Agent Conference at work, about two weeks ago – also, our first one! – and while so many things could have gone wrong, we pulled together as a team and managed to see it through gracefully and successfully. We have had an amazing feedback from our agents and a lot of things to learn from and change for the next one. However, I won’t be here for the next one as I’ve just got a new job! Oh, the excitement and the angst!
But that’s not what I’m going to write about today. Today, as the weather has gone dark and dreary again, I’m going to take you on a little imaginary trip around sunny Worcester, and share with you some of my favourite places, in case you ever want to visit.

Hello! After days and days of deliberating whether or not should I start digitising my journal, I have finally decided to go for it and set up my own blog. It’s my lovely little space of musings, good food, music, travel and every other thing in between.
My name is Teona, I’m Romanian by origin but quickly morphing into a British gal (I love tweed and tea!). I’ve lived in the UK for five years now and I’ve graduated from University two years ago. It’s been an adventure so far and the years I have spent at University were an experience I’ll never forget. Looking back, I met so many interesting people whom I’ve learned so much from and made many friends and memories. Hopefully, I’ll get to share some of my memories with you and maybe help some of you with a friendly little piece of advice. Continue reading “The Belle of the Ball”
